BREAKING: Heavy gridlock as two feared dead in Lagos expressway

Hundreds of motorists and commuters have been trapped in the gridlock along Oshodi-Gbagada expressway for hours.

The Nation gathered the gridlock worsened when bystanders blocked both expressway routes, causing a standstill in vehicular movement.

As observed by our correspondent, the influx of vehicles plying the lanes to navigate their destinations inward the expressway created a backlog of traffic that trapped many motorists.

The Nation learned law enforcement agencies had arrived to forestall the crisis.

Politics Nigeria gathered that the gridlock may not be unconnected with the killing of two yet-to-be-identified persons in an accident on the expressway.

According to eyewitnesses, the gridlock worsened when bystanders blocked both expressway routes, causing a standstill in vehicular movement.

Consequently, the influx of vehicles plying the lanes to navigate their destinations inward the expressway further created a backlog of traffic that trapped many motorists.

Law enforcement officers were yet to arrive at the scene at it the time of filing this report.
