Federal Government okays lease of three Airbus, Boeing aircraft for Nigeria Air

Three Airbus and Boeing aircraft were cleared for lease by the federal government yesterday in order to start domestic flights.
At the conclusion of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Abuja, the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, informed reporters that the new airline had already been christened.

At the conclusion of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Abuja, Hadi Sirika, the minister of aviation, announced to media that the new airline, already named Nigeria Air, will take off shortly.


Prior to this, the carrier cleared the Air Transport Licence (ATL) barrier and was given permission to operate for five years, beginning on June 3, 2022 and ending on June 3, 2024.
