ITS Nigeria partners ERITCO – ITS Europe, the organisers of this year’s in-person ITS World Congress in Hamburg, have released the event programme, and extended the early-bird rate for an extra week.
ERTICO say the detailed Programme includes both the high level and technical sessions for the Congress which takes place from 11-15 October 2021.
“Since 1994 when the very first ITS Congress was held in Paris, this unique event unites an impressive number of stakeholders from the ITS public and private sector, to meet and learn from each other about the latest innovations in products, services and related practices in smart mobility,” the organisation says in a statement.
“The Programme stands at the very heart of the ITS Congress. The High Level Programme includes the Opening and Closing Ceremonies and three Plenaries, dedicated to Congress topics and addressed by major personalities, as well as six Executive sessions that welcome high-level industry executives, public officials and academia from around the world to share their experiences and ITS achievements. Forums from the three regions of Asia Pacific, the Americas and Europe and for the first time two dedicated Global Forums – one on MaaS and another on freight and logistics are also included, given Hamburg’s important role as an international port.”
ERTICO adds that the Technical Programme is “the result of the Call for Contribution process that took place earlier in the year that has delivered 180 highly focused sessions that promote advances in state of the art and the deployment of ITS. The sessions include tailor-made Special Interest Sessions, Technical/ Research papers and Business Presentations There is also an Associated Programme, which profiles ERTICO’s activities and that of our Congress Partners. An Industry Programme is also currently in development.”
“The ITS World Congress is coming ever closer,” said Jacob Bangsgaard, CEO of ERTICO – ITS Europe. “Today, we are publishing the detailed Programme and to celebrate we are extending the Early Bird rate for registrations. Don’t hesitate!”
